Open Garden Squares

Take a peek behind the closed gates of more than 200 London gardens at the Open Garden Squares weekend; 18-19 June

Hidden grassy gems, from the historic and traditional to the new and experimental, are opened up to the public for one weekend every year. Private gardens, roof gardens, community allotments, urban wildlife and ecology centres, as well as gardens belonging to historic buildings, institutions and schools. Many of the gardens provide stalls, music, family entertainment and art activities as well as food and drink. Among the 200 green spaces taking part are Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, The Geffrye Museum's gardens through the ages, the Royal College of Physicians' medicinal garden, the Ismaili Centre's serene roof garden and pretty St Dunstan in the East.

Tickets are now on sale for Open Gardens Squares Weekend 2016! They cost just £12 and children under 12 go free. One ticket allows you to choose from numerous gardens on both Saturday 18 and Sunday 19 June 2016. Details of all participating gardens are now available to explore on line.
